Programme Details
The programme includes a teacher development day, followed by the launch, where an Olympian or other high achiever shares their story of how success is a journey with the need to overcome inevitable setbacks. A further Eleven modules follow, including visualisation, coaching, alignment of mind, body, emotion and spirit and team working. The programme concludes with a celebration where all the young people and teachers share what they have learnt and support each other in pursuing their dreams and goals. Full lesson plans and student workbooks are provided for every participant.
The programme is currently aimed at key stage 3 and is being delivered to one whole year group within the school, usually over a period of up to two terms. Our most succesful schools have delivered through PSHE lessons, with support from PE lessons and tutor time, as well as using assemblies to engage the wider school in some of the key themes. The intent of the programme is that the skills developed can be used across the curriculum by both students and teachers.
With senior team buy-in and effectively led, the programme has the potential to raise the aspirations of young people and give them confidence in pursuing their dreams. It has also inspired many teachers and please take a look at our results and endorsements.
