What

we do

21st Century legacy was formed to deliver a schools programme which would inspire and give practical support to young people to achieve their dreams.  The philosophy behind the programme is underpinned by the two coaching principles of increasing awareness in young people about who they are and what they want and asking them to take responsibility for their actions.

The process starts with a development day where enhanced facilitation skills are shared with the teachers who deliver the programme.  The target audience are students in years 7 - 9 in secondary schools and the programme is generally delivered to one whole year group, usually over a period of approximately two terms.  The programme launches with the visit of an Olympian or other high achiever and is followed with eleven modules and a celebration.  You can find out more about the programme under programme details.

Our intention is to motivate and support young people to raise their aspirations and fulfil their potential.  This is achieved through self managed leadership and supported by peer and teacher coaching.  The qualitative evidence from our pilot schemes shows that students develop increased confidence, well-being, optimism and raised aspirations and please take a look at our results and ensorsements
