Ian Rose Praised by Parent at Wallingford School

This is a letter to Ian Rose, one of our Special Speakers, after his visit to Wallingford School

Hi Ian.

You visited my daughter's school last week (Wallingford School).

My daughter came home from school after meeting with you filled with absolute awe and positivity. I have never seen her quite as animated or excitable about such an event! She did make me laugh, her words were, and I quote"Mummy, Ian said to take each day, day by day and do things that I really want to do and even things that scare me. So I'm going on the fair ride I was too scared to go on last night. I am going to face my fears."It was lovely to hear her speak so positively!

Amelia (my daughter) has never really shown much interest in any particular sport even though she is more than capable. Perhaps it's a slight lack of confidence also mixed with a little "I would rather be hanging out with my mates just in case I miss something" ! But she came home after your visit, positive and even talking about taking up a sport!

So, thank you once again.... truly a wonderful thing you did, not only for my daughter but all the children who met with you at Wallingford School.
