What's involved in the Be the Best you can Be Programme?

The Be the Best you can Be! Programme starts for pupils with the visit of an inspirational Special Speaker.  They Launch the Programme by sharing their journey and what they did to achieve their goals.  They will  spend time answering your questions and visiting your classrooms.  You can take pictures and ask for autographs.

Secondary School students receive an individual workbook and you will work through the chapters in different lessons or possibly on special theme days.  There are lots of different sections including exploring Comfort Zones; Coaching each other; Body Mind, Emotion & Spirit; Teamwork, Resilience; and a special focus on the Olympic and Paralympic Values.  At Secondary Schools the Be the Best you can Be! Programme may be run in one or more Year Groups, or for all the students in the School.

Primary School pupils receive a Dream Folder in which you can keep all the activities and exercises you complete in different lessons.  You might do different things depending on what year group you are in as often the whole School is running the Be the Best you can Be! Programme.

At the end of the Programme you will be presented with a unique recognition Medallion, specially made by The Royal Mint.  This has been created alongside the medals being given to the athletes at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and will be given to encourage you to continue to be the best that you can be.
