Support young people & prepare them for opportunities, responsibilities... life!
Although PSHE is a non-statutory subject, the DfE has stated as part of its National Curriculum Framework that 'All schools should make provision for PSHE education, drawing on good practice'.
In the absence of a national programme of study from the DfE, the PSHE Association has produced its own programme of study based on the needs of today's pupils and schools. This programme of study identifies the key concepts and skills that underpin PSHE education and help schools to fulfil their statutory responsibility to support pupils' spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development and prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life.
The PSHE Association Programme of Study for Key Stages 1 & 2 can be successfully covered by using the Be The Best You Can Be! Programme which makes the PSHE curriculum relevant and meaningful to the pupils. >>
