Two intrepid cyclists recently rode from John O'Groats to Lands End, raising over £3000 for 21st Century Legacy. Tom Winser and Rob Waters (pictured right with David) decided to do something to make a difference. We will leave it to Tom to tell you why.
"I'm not an avid cyclist by any stretch of the imagination so you'd be forgiven for wondering why I decided to ride the length of the country! Well, for me, its simple. I believe we're all defined by our experiences in life; they make us who we are. Even if the many challenges and adventures of our trip haven't changed me deep down, they have, at the very least, given me some great stories to tell and some fantastic memories. 21st Century Legacy is all about empowering people to get out there and write their own history; our aspirations go hand in hand so, for me, the choice to support them was straight forward. In reality though, my journey was incredibly simple compared to some of those that 21st Century Legacy sets people out on, they really can be life changing."
